The School of Planning at the University of Cincinnati is one of the largest academic planning units in the United States. The 16 full-time faculty members and rich array of adjuncts supervise the only school or department in the nation offering an accredited undergraduate planning degree with required cooperative education, an accredited master’s degree offered with a number of options and a doctoral degree in planning. The faculty represent a wide array of disciplines with an excellent record of scholarship, significant professional practice and highly visible service and outreach. We take great pride in impacting our urban future.

The Mercantile Library occupies the 11th and part of the 12th stories of The Mercantile Library Building in the heart of downtown Cincinnati and is one of nearly two-dozen surviving membership libraries in the United States. Since 1835, The Mercantile Library has continuously sought out dynamic lecturers and speakers, experts on a wide array of subjects—politics, art, literature, science, religion and more.

The collection contains over 80,000 volumes and covers a broad range of subjects, including contemporary fiction, non-fiction, classics, history, poetry, travel, and more.
